PORTRAITS
By Chris Jackson
My name is Chris Jackson, I’m a member of the Creative Spirit East artist collective and a former Artist-in-Residence (May to August 2009) at Veith Street Gallery, practicing the art of portraiture. I began offering my services to people following my first exhibit, which ran for the month of September 2009 and featured my best work from that period.
I have worked with models I've met through Facebook, the Halifax Photography Society, friends from Veith Street Gallery.
Take a look at my portraiture below to see what I've done in the past:

DISCLAIMER
This shoot was part of a project I did where I gathered a group of photographers and had them do shoots (myself included) based on recreations of their favorite classic horror films. This was my first project as a Project Curator at Veith Street Gallery and the compilations of images ultimately used was turned into an Halloween party/exhibit called "Gallery of Horrors". You may find that some of the images in this album very disturbing and graphic, but no one was actually killed during this shoot.

Charity Photo shoots for Veith Street Gallery
April - June 2010
As a member of Creative Spirit East, I have been doing charity photography for charities held by Sheila Morrison to benefit Veith Street Gallery. These events occurred during the months of April, May, and June. 2010. During the months of April and June 2010, I was an event photographer for 3 of the 4 charity events. At these events, I captured the performers in concert and some pics of charity items as well. Some of the performers I've captured, including The Wyndrock Quintet have already used some of my pictures on their MySpace webpage found at: http://www.myspace.com/wyndrockquintet/photos/albums/all/0 and Rosalee Peppard expressed an interest in using some of my pictures for her own promotion as well.
Take a look below to see some of the work I've done on behalf of Veith Street Gallery, organized from latest to earliest.
