Recently, on the 15th Anniversary of 9/11 I did a shoot for an associate of SteveTv, Melanie, for her son Callum so that he could possibly get on as a model at City Model Talent Agency. I was first asked on July 9th, when I was at the Waterfront Warehouse doing my first assignment for SteveTv (as a videographer for a Halifax Positive News segment) After many delays over the next two months we finally did the shoot and it went very well, with a number of good shots taken. Over the next month those shots were whittled down from over 50 to 5 color and 5 black and white (converted to greyscale on Callum's request) These shots were later edited by Callum's request and submitted shortly afterwards. On October 7th, almost a month after the shoot, I heard the awesome news that Callum had been accepted to the City Model Talent Agency! I had been checking the website since to see his picture and yesterday it was finally posted.
I have a slideshow featuring the top 5 color shots submitted to the modelling agency, including the one posted on the website, on my "Portraits by Chris" section. You can also see Callum's picture on the Cith Model Talent Agency website at: http://www.citymodels.ca/males Congratulations Callum!!

Hello Everyone!
Posted today on my "Home" page, the first of many "Best of" photography slideshow presentations that I am creating to post on my You Tube page (and shared here). These aren't your basic slideshows like I have been publishing over the past 6 years, these ones are created with Windows MovieMaker and set to music appropriate to the subject(s) in the slideshow. This idea was given to me by my friend Elizabeth Eaton, based on the interpretation of an idea by another friend Steve Leveille, from SteveTv, who I do photography on special events. Please let me know what you think of my first "Best of" slideshow by commenting below, I really appreciate any feedback! In July of this year, I was interviewed in front of the New Central Library by Steve Leveille, talking about my interest in photography and showing some samples. Unfortunately, do to the noise in the background, it was decided not to use it and instead do a new interview.
We did this interview at my In-Law suite in Bedford on September 25th, with Steve again asking me about how I got started in my photography and my switch to Digital Photography. During this segment, we introduced a new show (since re-titled Chris Jackson's Digital Journey, based on my website) where I showcased some of my photography from my portfolio. I showcased some of my landscapes and abstracts, with the promise of "more to come" You can see the video, edited for content by me, on my Home page! You can also see it on SteveTv at stevetv.tk |
