Macabre
Pedway Picture Gallery
October 15th, 2011
This was my first ever curated exhibit, which I worked on during my "Project Curator" program (which I will be finishing up at the end of October with my second curated exhibit "Gallery of Horrors" at the Veith Street Gallery October 31st). One of the important elements of the "Project Curator" program was for me to work with other artists (in this case photographers) and create an exhibit of their works based on a Horror theme they liked from movies or TV. Eight photographers ultimately participated and an exhibit of 30 of their best pictures (4 from each photographer, plus 2 from one) from the " Gallery of Horrors " shoots were displayed on October 15th as part of the Nocturne At Night festival, at the Pedway Picture Gallery. From all accounts, it was a huge success for all!

I created the collage that appears in the poster using Picasa.
Solo Exhibits
Blam & Glam
Veith Street Gallery
March 29th -- April 21st, 2011
Veith Street Gallery
March 29th -- April 21st, 2011
This exhibit showed a selection of my most recent portraiture, which includes Film Noir inspired photography and glamour shots of models I've photographed since April 30th, 2010.
The "Blam & Glam " exhibit was the result of different portraiture shoots that took place from April 30th to November 19th, 2010 at various locales in Halifax. This exhibit explores the themes of film noir and hollywood inspired glamour.
During my showing “Blam & Glam” . I featured my latest portraiture from shoots around Halifax, Aperture Studios, and Veith Street Gallery with film noir inspired portraiture . At these shoots, I used stills from classic films of the 40s and pics of famous actresses of the era covering the 30’s to 50’s and put my photographic spin on the scenes using friends from Veith Street Gallery and elsewhere. The showing itself was very successful and opened up an idea which eventually became my current "Gallery of Horrors" project.
Here is a list of my other solo exhibits, arranged from latest to earliest.

An exhibition of dreams by members of Creative Spirit East, of dreams each person has had. Each work is characterized by individual artwork and a written interpretation of their dream. CSE 6x6 Project
Internetworking Atlantic Inc.
5562 Saciville St, Halifax
In 2008, I was one of 36 Creative Spirit East artists who participated in a unique opportunity to paint an interpretation of 2 linemen on a pole. It debuted in a display at Atlantic Networking Inc in November 2008 and remains there to this day. Mine is the two linemen again a sunset, the 12th picture on the poster. It was quite a departure from photography and quite a challenge, but I perservered with the encouragementof Mike McCarty and Gerard McNeil, both curators and friends of mine at Veith Street Gallery.

Urban Farm Museum
photography exhibit
August 21st, 2008
This was the very last time I displayed my photography as part of the Chebucto Creative Art Society. It was unique in that, instead of my work hanging up on a wall or on a table, it was displayed in the garden at the Urban Farm museum, as you will see in the photo gallery in the next section.
The Captain William Spry Library
August 2007
I showcased some of my florals and sunsets as part of the Chebucto Creative Arts Group (later to change to the Chebucto Creative Arts Society) for the first time to the public at large. As with my later involvement with Creative Spirit East, I was part of a group of Artisans. I wasn't allowed to sell at this event, but made some sales of my prints to friends of mine after the showing.
Photography Sale Exhibits
EDN Market
December 3rd, 2014
World Trade and Convention Centre
My first market since 2010 and this time I shared a table with my girlfriend Helen E. Morrison. We both featured our best photography. She sold one of my prints "Zebra Stripes" (which was a picture of swirls in the water that was part of a waterfall in Brookfield, Nova Scotia which resembled zebra stripes) for $20 on my behalf, but the market wasn't highly advertised and we didn't get the crowds we should have, so it was the only sale made. We both ended up getting more compliments from people than sales!
We had two tables of our work, one inside the room and one in the hallway as we didn't have enough space on the one table.
EDN Christmas Social
CEED Office, Suite 103
Halifax Shopping Center
December 9th, 2010
I was a vendor at a table showcasing my macros, sunsets and landscapes prints, pictures and Christmas cards. The cards were $1.50, prints were $2 each and the pictures in the $8 to $15 range. By evening's end, I sold two pictures and two prints, making roughly $36.

I was a member of EDN (Entreprenuers with Disabilities Network ) by this time.
Holiday Market

I was one of the vendors at that event, selling more of my unique photo cards than photography.
Art from The Heart

Paintings were on sale for $80 each and unfortunately, this time around, none of mine sold, but I heard that my Enterprise painting was very popular among attendees.
The photos I took when I visited the event can be found in my "Photo Gallery for Exhibits/Showings 2007 to present" folder.
13th Annual Mosaic for Mental Health "Courage"
The Craig Gallery at Alderney Landing
October 13th - 30th, 2011
This year, I did something different for the Mosaic. I drew pictures of people in history who have shown courage in their lifetime. I did 4 tiles which featured Terry Fox during the Marathon of Hope, Rick Hansen during the Man in Motion Tour, Rosa Parks during the 50s on an all white bus, and Amelia Earhart, the first woman to fly. I sold the Terry Fox tile on the opening day. I visited the exhibit on Saturday and took some pics of my remaining works, which you can see below:

I donated a set of 8 cards using my photos as well. A picture "Lights on the Northwest Arm", bought by Sheila Morrison at the "Figures & Landscapes" showing at the Foxy Moon Hair Gallery, was also donated to the fundraiser. I sold 3 pictures that night, including the "Lights on the Northwest Arm" "Flamingo Sky" and "A Fiery Sunset" to Olga Milosovich! The fundraiser was a great success, due to the efforts of all involved, including Diana Covell and Sheila Morrison.
